No drains! That is the best part! Sadly, I have to wear the velcro bra for a week. I haven't had to wear a bra since the last surgery, so its quite uncomfortable.
The surgery lasted 2 1/2 hours. Recovery lasted about 4 hours or so. Then I was able to go home. Love the fact that it was a one-day procedure and I didn't have to stay in the hospital.
My throat hurts from the tube. My arms and arm pits hurt from where the doc did a bit of lipo. There is a hole and some bruising and I can't fully extend my arms yet.
I haven't really been able to asses the results yet but my awesome doctor told my mom and Lucia how very pleased he was with his work. I left the size of the implants up to the doctor - I figured that he knows best since this is his specialty. I am just thrilled that the lumpy expander disaster has been removed from my chest.
I am going to keep this post short and sweet because I am still on the pain medication and there's no telling what type of rambling could occur if I continue.
The photo above was taken just before surgery.
This is a great resource I found for recovery: http://surgery.med.umich.edu/plastic/patient/forms/instructions/te_exchange_postop.shtml
