I set up a secret group in facebook that lists events and people can post anything they want in it.  They have been posting uplifting photos and quotes, etc.  And a lot of funny pics!  I am able to invite anyone into the secret group and it lists all my upcoming events.  This only works when your whole family is on facebook.  :)
