
Wow. Today's DVD was the abs workout and I failed miserably. There are three reasons behind my epic disaster.
1. Some of the exercises done on the floor, stretched a part of my back that pulled on or pinched my slipped disk and it hurt like hell, so I had to modify those.
2. Some of the exercises done on the floor, such as pushups, are clearly impossible as of yet because of the lymphedema and tightness in my right arm. I believe I may have what is called "cording". Therefore, I had to modify yet again.
3. I tried very hard but could not keep my legs up in the air for the duration of those particular exercises because my ab muscles are so out of shape and weak!
I did the best I could for the 25 minute workout, but am very disappointed in myself. All I can do is keep going, keep pushing, and hope that when this DVD comes around again that I do better than I did today.
Today's food:
Breakfast: 2 hard boiled eggs
Lunch: Veggie burger, onions, pickles, cheddar
Dinner: Keilbasa with bowtie pasta and veggies
Snack: Toast with mom's crack jam (strawberry)
What I did today to better my diet: I ate a veggie burger instead of a hamburger. At 9:30 pm, I really really wanted a bowl of cereal but instead I drank a glass of water.
